1. Who we are
Jayimpact Group Ltd (company number 16120147), registered office 1 Nelson Road, Northfleet, Gravesend, England, DA11 7EE, is the data controller for your personal data (“we”, “us”). Contact: enquiries@jayimpactgroup.com. We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer under UK GDPR, and none is appointed. Data protection questions go to the contact above.
2. What data we collect
Application data (submitted via the form on justicebartels.co.uk): full name, business or organisation (if applicable), email address, website or LinkedIn (optional), current property experience, target strategy (BRRR, social impact housing or ground-up development), broad funding position, and a brief description of what you want from mentorship. If you enrol, we also process: portal account data (your login and access code); assignment submissions and scorecard data held in the admin view; session recordings (other mentees may appear in recordings; replays are available only within your cohort — they are not published or shared outside the cohort); community content you post (moderated); and correspondence with you about the programme.
3. Why we use your data
Handling your application, qualification review and discovery call — steps taken at your request before entering a contract; legitimate interests (programme administration). Delivering the programme: sessions, portal, resources, community, scorecard — contract. Programme administration, security, improvement and moderation — legitimate interests (you can object; see section 6). Marketing emails — consent; we do not currently send marketing emails to applicants or mentees; if this changes, we will ask for consent first.
4. Who we share your data with
We use service providers (processors) to run the programme: website host Vercel (hosts justicebartels.co.uk, through which the application form is submitted); email provider Microsoft 365, GoDaddy-hosted (holds the approved business inbox enquiries@jayimpactgroup.com, to which applications are delivered); payment processor Stripe, including Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (processes enrolment payments and refunds); and analytics via PostHog (website usage measurement, consent-gated). We never sell your data. Where any processor stores data outside the UK (for example, in the United States), transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable.
5. How long we keep your data
Application data of unsuccessful applicants: 12 months, then deleted (so we can consider you for later intakes if you ask, and to evidence fair handling). Enrolment data (contract, payments, scorecard, certificates): for the programme duration, then kept for as long as needed for limitation periods (contract claims: 6 years in England & Wales). Session recordings: cohort duration + 12 months, then deleted. Community data: for the duration of membership, plus 12 months for moderation records (aligned with session recording retention). Correspondence: for as long as needed to handle the matter, then per the categories above.
6. Your rights
You have the right to: access a copy of your data; rectify inaccurate data; erase your data (in some circumstances); restrict or object to processing; and data portability. To exercise any right, contact enquiries@jayimpactgroup.com. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing already carried out). You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO, ico.org.uk) if you believe our processing is not compliant. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. The qualification review is conducted by a person, not an algorithm.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls on the portal and admin view, access codes for members, moderation of community content, and restricting programme data to the approved business inbox and those who need it.
8. Cookies
The website’s cookie notice explains the cookies used on justicebartels.co.uk. Non-essential tracking does not run before you give consent.
9. Contact and changes
Questions, requests or complaints: enquiries@jayimpactgroup.com. We will update this notice if our processing changes; the latest version is published on the website.
